Plan an event and create an event brochure

Filed under: Brochures —Tagged — nabryan @ 4:59 pm

Plan an event to promote awareness about your issue.  Think about type of event, i.e. concert, dance, party, picnic, meeting, etc.  Plan a date, time, and location.  Will you have food?  Will there be an admission fee?  You will need to have speakers to tell about your topic.  Who will they be?  They may be your classmates or fictional.  Write it all down or type it in a MS Word document.  Save it to your folder.  Now you are ready to create your brochure.  Go to s:\computer lab\ tutorials\how to create a brochure for a tutorial.  You may pause it – work on your brochure – then start it back up for directions.  A sample brochure can be found at s:\computer lab\sample documents\sample brochure.  Take time to look at it and watch the tutorial once before starting your brochure.

Form Your Company

Filed under: Brochures,Seventh Grade Project —— nabryan @ 11:42 am

You have done a great job with your research and PowerPoint presentations.  Now it is time for you to form your own company and get your public awareness campaign started.  Take the following steps to get started:

1.  Think of a company name that relates to your topic.

2.  Think of a slogan (tagline).  McDonald’s slogan is “I’m lovin’ it.”  Burger King’s is “Have it your way.”  Subway’s slogan is “Eat Fresh.”  Home Depot’s is “You can do it, we can help.”  Make your slogan relate to your topic.

3.  Go online and find an image for your logo.  You will need to do an image search by putting in the search terms and clicking on image.

4.  Save your image by right clicking on it.  Click Save Image As.  Save it in your folder in the s:\computer lab file.
